#OneLoveManchester proves that we are stronger together
You won’t stop us from listening to music, you won’t stop us from enjoying live concerts, you won’t stop us from experiencing and you won’t stop us from living life to the fullest.
This is the message everyone who took part in the #OneLoveManchester charity concert was trying to pass on. Whether you were there in the crowd, at home watching it on TV, or laying on your bed streaming it, you passed on the message. Those 22 people, who died on the 22nd of May 2017, did not die in vain.
The charity concert, personally organised by Ariana Grande, has seen an incredible number of famous artists participating. They all took a stand and expressed their feelings on terrorist attacks and violence. Artists such as Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Niall Horan and Katy Perry performed at the Old Trafford Cricket Ground of Manchester, bringing people together and spreading love and peace. The money obtained will be donated to the “Manchester Emergency Fund” and will support the victims of the Manchester bombing. Despite another terrorist attack happening in London the night before, the concert was not cancelled and the show went on. Further proof of love and strength in light of the recent events.
Music is made to bring people together and not tear them apart
One Love Manchester was a chance to prove that music is made to bring people together and not tear them apart with fear and death. Ariana Grande proved her strength in front of 50,000 people and showed us that we don’t have to be afraid and that together we are stronger. Miley Cyrus and Pharrell Williams sang “Happy” together and Cyrus also performed with Grande a cover of “Don’t dream it’s over”. Katy Perry delighted the audience with “Roar”, adding up to a set list of songs that, given the situation, gave hope to everyone who watched. Also, Liam Gallagher surprisingly performed on stage some classic Oasis songs. At the end of the concert all the artists got on stage to pay tribute to the cause, singing along with Ariana Grande the song “One last time”, creating a touching and emotional moment, difficult to forget.
Manchester, England, Europe and the entire world got together and proved once again that we can be stronger and defeat what is threatening us.
