#TackleTheStigma – International rugby star Brad Shields to shave his iconic beard off for charity!
On Friday 6th March, Brad Shields will be shaving off his beard with LooseHeadz, a charity that helps tackle mental health stigma through rugby.
The current Wasps rugby player, who has previously played for England in the Six Nations, is raising money for the LooseHeadz campaign, #TackleTheStigma.
So who are LooseHeadz?
LooseHeadz is a charity that sell rugby leisure wear to raise money for mental health in rugby.
“We wanted to get folk to ask RUOK…so we just started.”
They promote their message through ambassadors and Academy Members such as Joe Milburn: “I’ve recently been taken on as an Academy Member, this means it is my job to push mental health awareness within the local community and teams.
“I got involved because I realised how much a support network is needed when feeling low or suffering.
“I now work alongside Ambassadors and the charity to help Tackle The Stigma around mental health.”
It’s not too late to contribute! Donate to the GoFundMe for Brad Shields here.
